Troubleshooting Mobile SoftPhones

Problem Possible Cause Actions
Call is Dropped or Disconnected
  • Poor internet connection
  • Unregistered to the TAKHATOB Softphone
  • Invalid number dialed
  • Check WiFi, 3G connection and make sure to have a good and stable signal
  • Check that the Takhatob softphone is showing registered
  • Verify that the number is correct

     

Call sounds "choppy"

  • Slow internet connection
  • Mismatch codec settings
  • Check WiFi, 3G connection and make sure to have a good and stable signal
  • Samsung mobile phones only:  Check codec settings - activate G.711u, G.711a, and G729 and deactivate other codecs
  • Blackberry mobile Phones only:Check codec settings – change codec settings from G.711u to G.711a or vice-versa
Hear Echo during calls(repeated voice)
  • Poor Internet connection
  • Check WiFi, 3G connection and make sure to have a good and stable signal
Only One-Way voice
